Renovation in Blackrock

This custom joinery project in Blackburn began with a focused scope across the kitchen, butler’s pantry, and main living areas of a thoughtfully designed three-bedroom, two-bathroom home.

At its core, the kitchen was created as a functional and inviting space for everyday living and entertaining, featuring fully integrated appliances including a fridge/freezer and dishwasher for a clean, uninterrupted finish. An undermount rangehood, seamlessly concealed and finished with a wall tile, further enhances the streamlined aesthetic.

The cabinetry showcases classic shaker-style fronts finished in a custom 2Pac colour, bringing a timeless yet tailored feel to the space. This is complemented by reconstituted stone benchtops with a 40mm apron, adding both visual weight and durability. A standout feature is the island bench, complete with a 2Pac VJ modesty panel and custom skirtings, reinforcing the level of detail carried throughout the project.

A custom pivot door provides a refined transition into the butler’s pantry, continuing the same shaker profile and 2Pac finish for a cohesive look. Inside, carefully considered storage and workspace solutions support the functionality of a busy household.

Feature elements such as custom VJ board backs, finished in 2Pac paint, and timber melamine floating shelves with integrated LED strip lighting introduce warmth and depth to the overall design.

Following the initial installation, the relationship with the client continued, with additional bespoke joinery commissioned to further enhance the home. This included a custom sitting room wall unit with an integrated pull-down bed, as well as two children’s wardrobes incorporating dedicated study areas—each designed to maximise space, practicality, and long-term usability.

This project reflects an evolving, client-focused approach, delivering high-quality joinery solutions that adapt to the changing needs of the home while maintaining a consistent level of craftsmanship and finish throughout.
